D-DAY REMEMBRANCE

 I know I said I was stopping posting for a while but today is the 77th anniversary of the D-Day landing. Back in 2003, I was covering a media flight aboard the Experimental Aircraft Association's restored B-17 bomber Aluminum Overcast. Shortly after my arrival, I saw this man from "The Greatest Generation" arriving in his wheelchair. Turned out he was a WWII B-17 crewmember. I have his name somewhere in my notebooks but he allowed me to get a photo of him alongside the aircraft.
